He plucked the four-string at Hammerfall for ten years. From 1997 to 2007 he was one of the co-founders of the Swedish hard rock formation. He himself writes that he is more than grateful to the band for everything he was able to experience. We’re talking about Magnus Rosen. Ex-bass player from, yes, Hammerfall. The same Magnus Rosen is now back with his own project, simply called Magnus Rosen Band. What will he play? A question that almost everyone can answer themselves. Of course it will be pop music…. Ha, Ha, Ha, no joking aside. Of course it’s rock music. But Magnus doesn’t just limit himself to hard rock or heavy metal. On the contrary, on his debut he combines pretty much everything that has influenced him and his music. Starting with classics from the 60’s up to the present day. In other words, with the album that has just been released, every friend of rock music will get their money’s worth. Classic rock covered and in a new guise meets new material penned by the Magnus Rosen Band. Well, if that’s not a big job, and a gift of a special kind, what then? Gary Moore, Scorpions, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Metallica, AC/DC, ABBA, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix meet Hammerfall. Two boxes? Dear readers, I’m not promising too much when I say this album deserves to be included in your playlist. Dude, I’m rarely excited when I hit the play button to start a new album, but It’s Time to Rock the World Again is exactly what the album’s name says. It was/is actually time to ”re-rock” the world. And nothing else is celebrated with this album. So what are you waiting for?
